    Friday 17 February 2023 This online workshop aims to provide teachers with the foundations and a greater understanding of the overarching approaches, frameworks and resources of Senior Health. It is aimed at those teachers new to the subject as well as teachers returning to the subject after a break or have taught for a little while but wanted to build their confidence in the subject. Hugh lectures at the Faculty of Health - School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Queensland University of Technology. Carolyn Jones is a Principal Education Officer at the QCAA in the Health, Physical Education (HPE)/Technologies learning area. Carolyn has held the role from the implementation of the new QCE system and is primarily responsible for the Health General Syllabus and the Applied Sport & Recreation Syllabus. Dr Louise McCuaig currently serves as Head of Flinders Discovery Institute at Matthew Flinders Anglican College. For over 30 years, she has been an educator in Queensland schools and universities. Louise’s research on health literacy and salutogenesis underpinned the development of the Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education and Queensland Senior Health Syllabus.     Online Workshop - Friday 17 March 2023 This online workshop is a professional learning opportunity for teachers in Years 7-10. It will build on the themes from previous workshops, with a focus on the purpose and aims of the curriculum document. The workshop will provide ideas and guidance on unit planning and assessment, using the structure of the refreshed v9.0 curriculum to inform teachers when making decisions about teaching and learning. Interactive tasks will guide participants to further explore flexible approaches to the delivery of rich, integrated learning for students. Glenn was previously Principal Education Officer (Physical Education) at the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority. He has served on various QCAA Moderation Panels and Subject and Syllabus Advisory Committees, as District Panellist and District Review Panel Chair.
